HAKEEM ABDURRAZZAQ: A GENERATIONAL TALENT IN UNANI MEDICINE AND HERBAL HEALTHCARE

Hakeem Abdurrazzaq is renowned in his field. He has spent over 75 years practicing Unani healthcare, and he is an expert in herbal techniques and traditional Tibb Nabawi medicine too. He was inspired by his grandfather, and he has trained three of his five sons, who now practice with him. The bespoke treatments are precise, natural and effective. They have benefited international high profile individuals, as well as disadvantaged members of the country.

Hakeem Abdurrazzaq has spent years as a top expert in Unani healthcare. He has been successful in combining modern and ancient approaches to medicine. His care starts with natural human connection, and ends with happy human health.

The story of his career is a special one. He is driven by an authentic belief in traditional approaches to medicine, which he has seen the results of in his community and beyond. What started as a family tradition for him has since become a life mission. He aims to prove that traditional Unani medicine still has a place in society.

For more than 75 years, his results have been outstanding. One of his biggest impacts came during Surat’s pneumonic plague in 1994. His pioneering, natural treatment made the difference, and played a key part in overcoming the epidemic.

He has also ensured that the family’s knowledge and skills help the next generation. Three of his five sons practice with him: Hakeem Mufti Allama Zayd, Hakeem Yasir and Hakeem Tameem.

Hakeem Abdurrazzaq and sons also run the ‘Miskeen Programme’. Despite having treated figures of the Indian national government, and even foreign royalty and presidential families, Hakeem Abdurrazzaq wants to make sure that Unani healthcare is accessible to everyone who needs it. So, he and his sons set up a programme which gives free care for those who cannot afford treatment.

Each patient is treated with a specialised, individual approach. The approach has been highly precise and highly effective. This is because each person’s specific factors are taken into account, for example body structure, gender, age and physical condition. These details are used so that each patient benefits from a uniquely prepared balance of herbal remedies.
